It was what Tim wanted. It was a personal issue for him. I believe to have not retired as a Raider would have left things out of order for him personally. In an interview last year, Brown indicated that he desired to do this, though I thought that the way to do it would be to have him in uniform one last time in Oakland for a game. That would be remembered. This was a gift that Tim asked for and the Raiders were glad to give to him. This was the way he wanted to leave the game.
